Newzoids
Newzoids is a British topical satirical puppet/ CGI sketch show that has been broadcast on ITV since 15 April 2015. The series features the voices of impressionists Jon Culshaw, Debra Stephenson and Lewis MacLeod, all current stars of the similarly-themed BBC Radio 4 comedy Dead Ringers. It has been compared to Spitting Image. The first series of Newzoids was released in time for spoofing the general election in May 2015.
In May 2016, ITV confirmed that a second series of Newzoids would air in Autumn 2016. Around fifty new faces will debut in series two, including Jeremy Corbyn, Adele and Donald Trump, adding to the seventy existing Newzoids characters.
Newzoids is a co-production for ITV between Citrus Television and Factory.
