Netropsin is a polyamide with antibiotic and antiviral activity. Netropsin was discovered by Finlay et al. and first isolated from the actinobacterium Streptomyces netropsis. It belongs to the class of pyrrole-amidine antibiotics. Synonyms for the compound are congocidine and sinanomycin.
