What is "nasmod"

NASMOD (National Airspace Modernization) is a U.S. program currently under way to modernize and upgrade the National Airspace. Organizations and corporations such as ALPA, the FAA, SPAWAR, MITRE Corporation, NASA, UPS and aeronautic companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin and ACSS are involved. Current studies and trials to implement upgrades to the NAS are underway.
