Musique-Cordiale

Musique Cordiale is an international festival and academy of classical music, song, oratorio and opera, taking place in the hills between Nice and Aix-en-Provence during the first two weeks of August. It grew from a dream of making music and encouraging musical appreciation at the highest level in the most conducive surroundings. In a spirit of entente cordiale, the festival draws together people from all ages and many countries and is designed to encourage inter-cultural friendship and understanding through a shared involvement in music-making. Singers and players range in age from 15 to 75. The 12th Musique Cordiale will take place from Saturday 30 July to Saturday 13 August 2016 and the Academy for string musicians will take place from Thursday 28 July to Saturday 6 August 2016 and will be led by Levon Chilingirian and Susie Mészáros from the Chilingirian String Quartet.
