Muggiò is a city (municipality) in the Province of Monza and Brianza in the Italian region Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan. As of 2009, it had a population of 23,500 and an area of . It received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on September 27, 1992. The municipality of Muggiò contains the frazione (subdivision) Taccona. Muggiò borders the following municipalities: Lissone, Desio, Monza, Nova Milanese, Cinisello Balsamo.

Muggio was a municipality in the district of Mendrisio in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. On 25 October 2009 the municipalities of Bruzella, Cabbio, Caneggio, Morbio Superiore, Muggio and Sagno merged into the municipality of Breggia.
