What is "mpasatia"

Mpasatia is a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The town is known for the Mpasatia Secondary Technical School.The town is about Fourteen miles to Kumasi. Mpasatia can be located at Atwima Mponua District in Ashante Region.The town has three Junior High Schools and one Senior High School.The main occupation in this town is farming.Know wonder the town has produce a man who worn Ghana best farming Award(Mr T F Asare).It is also one of the mining towns in Atwima Mponua District. The total population of the town is about four thousand. The town has produce prominent peoples such as Doctors (notably Dr Agyarko Poku, Dr. Issac Opoku-Asare -Cardiologist, Dr. Bernice Opoku-Asare), Lecturers,District chief Executive, Regional Coordinating Director for the whole region (Mr S.O. Kusi Appiah), the Director of Finance for Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (Mr Elvis Kusi) is also from Mpasatia. It is the second largest town in Atwima Mponua District.it is a flat land surrounded by two rivers.That is river Waawe and River Asuo Kofi.Some of the surrounding villages are Yawbour,Seseko,Kwapaa,Bedifi and Amaadu Nkwanta.The town is divided into four areas,that is Ahenbronum,Kubease,Carbery and Atenesu.
