Modicon can mean:

• Modicon PLC, the first programmable logic controller or PLC. The brand created in 1968 has gone through several owners (like Gould Electronics in 1977, AEG Schneider Automation in 1994) and is now owned by Schneider Electric since 1996. Modicon also introduced the Modbus protocol in 1979
