Khas Misra Chettri
Misra is a surname in khas bahun and chettri of Himalayan hill community in Nepal, darjeeling, Bhutan, Sikkim and northeast India. This community migrated from far western part of Nepal to all Himalayan belt.Many people write their surname as mishra but this is a misconception and actually for Indian surname.
The famous khas Misra personality can be observed in signatory from Nepal in sugauli treaty between Nepal and British India was Gajraj Misra.
This community densely found in pakyong Amba in Sikkim.
