Misericordia \Mis`e*ri*cor"di*a\, n. [L., mercy, compassion; miser wretched + cor, cordis, heart.]

Misericórdia ( English: Mercy) is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Lisbon. This new parish was created with the 2012 Administrative Reform of Lisbon, merging the former parishes of Mercês, Santa Catarina, Encarnação and São Paulo. The population in 2011 was 13,044, in an area of 2.19 km².
