Merozoite \Mer`o*zo"ite\, n. [Gr. me`ros part + Sporozoa.] (Zo["o]l.) A form of spore, usually elongate or falciform, and somewhat amoeboid, produced by segmentation of the schizonts of certain Sporozoa, as the malaria parasite.
