Melanaemia \Mel`a*n[ae]"mi*a\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. me`las, me`lanos, black + a"i^ma blood.] (Med.) A morbid condition in which the blood contains black pigment either floating freely or imbedded in the white blood corpuscles.
