What is "mbamu"

Mbamu (also: M´Bamou and Bamu) is an island in the Republic of the Congo (Congo Brazzaville). It is situated in the Pool Malebo, a lake formed by the River Congo. To the south lies Kinshasa, and the northwest lies Brazzaville.
