Marwar Mathania is a town in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, India. The town is well connected by roads and bridges to Jodhpur and is 38 kilometers away from the Jodhpur Airport. The oldest Karni Mata Temple can be found here, which was constructed in the village by Amara Charan in 1472.
Today, Mathania houses a wide variety of communities. Every year a Puja and a religious fair are organized on Kartik Poornima in memory of Satharam Parihar, who was killed during the demolition of the disputed Mosque of Babur in Ayodhya.
As of 2015 the Sarpanch, or head of the Gram panchayat, is Meenaxi Devda, who is supported by up-sarpanch Budhdan Charan.
This village has produced a variety of great people such as Rewat Dan Charan (eminent Rajasthani poet), Setharam Parihar (martyr), Arjun Deo Charan (Vice chairman of NSD), Hinglaj Dan Charan (ex-MD of JVVNL), Dungar Dan Charan (ex- RAS officer), Sohan Dan Charan (Ex-HOD Hindi JNVU), Rajesh Parihar (IFS), and Om Prakash Charan (IRTS).
