Martindale can refer to:

Martindale (CTrain)

Martindale is a station on the Northeast Line (Route 202) of the CTrain light rail system in Calgary, Alberta. It opened August 27, 2012.

The station is one of two that was constructed as part of a 2.9-kilometer (1.8-mile) extension of the Northeast line from McKnight-Westwinds Station to Saddletowne Station. It is located in a reserved right-of-way within the community of Martindale, with the side-loading platforms to be staggered west and east of Martindale Boulevard. Due to its location in a residential area primarily serving local residents, there are no park-and-ride lots at the station nor a bus terminal, unlike most other CTrain stations in Calgary. Also, because of its location, CTrain speeds are reduced to 50 km/h (31.06 mi/h) in the general area.

Martindale is the second station in the system to use staggered platforms (the first was Shawnessy in 2004). Martindale is also closer to residential homes than any other station in the system.

The opening of the Northeast extension has been delayed by almost one year as the extension was originally planned to be open in late 2011.

Martindale (NYCRR station)

Martindale was a former NYCRR train station that served the residents of Hillsdale, New York and was the next stop on the Harlem Division after Craryville.

Martindale (unit)

The Martindale is a unit for quantifying the abrasion resistance of textiles, especially when used for upholstery.

The Martindale method, also known as the Martindale rub test, simulates natural wear of a seat cover, where the textile sample is rubbed against a standard abrasive surface with a specified force. The test equipment works in intervals of 5000 cycles, totalling the wear number (unit: Martindale) of abrasion cycles that leads to the material being worn to a specified degree. The higher the value, the more resistant the material is to abrasion.

The national German textile institute specifies a minimum requirement for various applications, and here are some examples:
