Maniace ( Sicilian: Maniaci) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about east of Palermo and about northwest of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,606 and an area of .
The municipality bears the name of George Maniakes (; ), a prominent general of the 11th century and catepan of Italy, known for his victories against the Arabs in Sicily.
