Mandya is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the headquarters of Mandya district and is located from Mysore and from Bangalore. Sugar factories contribute majorly to the economy of the city.
Mandya Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 28 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Karnataka state in southern India. This constituency covers the entire Mandya district and part of Mysore district.
Mandya is a 2006 Indian Kannada romantic action film produced and directed by Om Prakash Rao and written by Purushottam Rao. The film stars Darshan, Radhika and Rakshita in the lead roles. The film is a remake of Telugu film Samba (2004) directed by V. V. Vinayak and starring Jr. NTR, Genelia D'Souza and Bhoomika Chawla. Some of the scenes also draws parallels from Tamil films such as Baashha and Madhurey.
The film was released on 6 January 2006 across Karnataka cinema halls and got mixed response from critics and audience.
