Malthonica
Malthonica (Mediterranean grass spiders) is a genus of Agelenidae which is very similar to Tegenaria, except for the shortened last pair of legs. In fact, M. silvestris has been renamed recently from T. silvestris. Other differences include the lack of "backdoor" exit in the funnels, although it is not a definite characteristic of the genus and has been found in other agelenids as well.
Two species (M. aliquoi and M. soriculata) were placed in the newly designated genus Aterigena in 2010 along with two species of Tegenaria.
