Mahyar
Mahyar (Persian مهیار) can mean one of several things:
- Mahyar (Iranian/Zoroastrian name) is typically a man's name, and translates as "great friend." Mah (originally Meh) means great, and yar means friend. in old Persian used to be Mehyar. Mahyar could also be thought of as "mah" meaning moon, and "yar" meaning friend; hence friend of the moon, with moon being a symbol of beauty.
