Macroglossinae (Lepidoptera)

The Macroglossinae are a sub-family of Sphingidae moths in the order Lepidoptera. The subfamily is divided into three tribes: Dilophonotini, Macroglossini and Philampelini.

The megabat subfamily Macroglossinae is a small group comprising only four genera. The name "Macroglossinae" also happens to be shared by a subfamily of the moth family Sphingidae, a situation which the international taxonomic community has yet to rectify. Species within this subfamily are:
