Lund

Lund is a city in the province of Scania ( Skåne), southern Sweden. The town has 82,800 inhabitants in 2010, out of a municipal total of 110,824. It is the seat of Lund Municipality, Skåne County. The city is believed to have been founded around 990, when Scania belonged to Denmark. It soon became a major Christian centre of the Baltic Sea region, at a time when the area was still a frontier area for Christian mission, and within Scandinavia and especially Denmark through the Middle Ages. From 1103 it was the see of the Catholic Metropolitan Archdiocese of Lund. At the centre of the city stands the towering Lund Cathedral, built circa 1090–1145.

Lund University, established 1666, is today one of Scandinavia's largest institutions for education and research.

Lund (Kristiansand)

Lund is a borough in Kristiansand, Norway. It is the second largest borough in the city after Vågsbygd. In 2015 the population was 30,000. Lund is divided into 4 districts, Lund itself (centrum), Gimlekollen, Justvik and Ålefjær.

East for Lund, is the borough Oddernes, west is Kvadraturen and Grin. North for the borough is the municipality Vennesla. Lund has the Otra river on the west side and Topdalsfjorden on the right and the sea to the south.

The University of Agder is located at Lund along with Kristiansand Cathedral School

Lund Church and Oddernes Church is the only churches at Lund. Oddernes Church was one of the first churches to be built in Kristiansand. There are two bridges over to Kvadraturen: "Lundsbroa" and "Oddernesbrua". Before Oddernesbrua was Lundsbroa the main way to east. Today, Oddernesbrua is a part of the highway E18, the bridge ends in a tunnel. While Lundsbroa is a part of Riksvei 471, it ends in the city centrum of Lund. Public transportation is available with bus, all local busses headed eastbound has more than one stop at Lund. There is also buses that goes "deeper" in to Lund. Line 13 Grimsmyra-Lund goes to Kuholmen in Lund, a place south of Lund, while Line 19 Suldalen-Lund UiA, follows Riksvei 471 to the University.
