Loch Lomond is a reservoir in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Lompico, California in Santa Cruz County, California. It was created by building a dam across Newell Creek. The dam is an earthfill barricade, measuring by . It was completed in the Fall of 1960; impounded water first ran over the spillway in March 1963. The reservoir is . It is long, wide, approximately deep, with a capacity. It provides a portion of the drinking water supply for the city of Santa Cruz, California. Loch Lomond is a band based in Portland, Oregon, United States that was started as a solo recording project of Ritchie Young in 2003. With help of engineer/producer Rob Oberdorfer, Young crafted the first Loch Lomond album, When We Were Mountains. Over the next few years, Loch Lomond performed around Portland and the Pacific Northwest in various incarnations. Live performances would range from Young by himself to a full band.
