The LiveU hardware, which is carried by the broadcast camera operator, bonds up to 14 cellular (3G/4G – LTE/WiMAX) modems over multiple carriers, as well as multiple LAN and even BGAN satellite connections together to achieve enough bandwidth to carry an HD video signal for broadcast. LiveU holds the patent (US Patent No: 7,948,933) for its Remote Transmission System and was the first company to incorporate 4G LTE into its system.
