Lithium sulfide is the inorganic compound with the formula LiS. It crystallizes in the antifluorite motif, described as the salt (Li)S. It forms a solid yellow-white deliquescent powder. In air, it easily hydrolyses to release hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor).
