The site is currently a central source for Linux information, software, documentation and answers across the server, desktop/netbook, mobile, and embedded areas. Linux.com offers free Linux tutorials, news and blogs, discussion forums and groups, a Linux software and hardware directory, and a job board. The vanity mail @linux.com is granted only to people who are committed to the community and Linux distributions.
Much like Linux itself, Linux.com plans to rely on the community to create and drive the content and conversation. Linux.com membership has an annual fee of $99, with a discounted price of $25 for students.
