Lingnan is a geographic area referring to lands in the south of China's Nan Mountains: Tayu, Qitian, Dupang, Mengzhu, and Yuecheng. The region covers the modern Chinese provinces of Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan as well as modern northern Vietnam.
