Lifeline (video game)

Lifeline, released in Japan as , is a video game released by SCEI and Konami for the PlayStation 2.

Its defining aspect is that the player controls the game entirely by using a microphone to speak commands to on-screen characters. These commands are interpreted by the game via speech recognition. It is generally regarded by game reviewers as average, although its innovation has caused it to become a cult classic among fans.

The game sold well enough to become one of the PS2 Greatest Hits, with the lower-priced version released on September 25, 2003 in Japan. Both versions in Japan included the option to purchase the USB headset packaged with the game. The North American release did not offer this bundle.

Lifeline (Ben Harper album)

Lifeline is an album by Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals. It was recorded in Paris in the fall of 2006 after the lengthy European leg of the Both Sides of the Gun tour. Harper and the Innocent Criminals wrote the tracks while on tour and would rehearse the songs during sound checks while at each venue. Recorded in only seven days on analog, the album was released on August 28, 2007.

Lifeline debuted at #9 on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling about 41,000 copies in its first week.

Lifeline (Stargate Atlantis)

"Lifeline" is the second episode of the fourth season, and the 62nd episode overall, of the science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis. The episode first aired in the United States on October 5, 2007 on the Sci Fi Channel, and subsequently aired October 16 on Sky One in the United Kingdom. It was written by executive producer Carl Binder, and directed by Martin Wood. The episode is a continuation of the previous episode, " Adrift", following Colonel Sheppard and his team as they perform a mission to steal a Zero Point Module from the Asurans. It was described by executive producer Joseph Mallozzi as a "big op eppy."

The episode was considered to be somewhat of a send off to Elizabeth Weir (played by the departing Torri Higginson). Although Wood was credited for directing, he was occupied with directing the movie Stargate: Continuum, so Andy Mikita did most of the actual directing for the episode. It received slightly lower ratings than "Adrift", but was still well received.

Lifeline is a non-profit organisation that provides free, 24-hour Telephone Crisis Support service in Australia. Volunteer Crisis Supporters provide suicide prevention services, mental health support and emotional assistance, not only via telephone but face-to-face and online.

Telephone Crisis Support is provided via a network of Lifeline Centres maintained by trained volunteers and some paid staff. Income is then distributed to: service support (72%), fundraising and promotion (18%), and administration (10%).

LifeLine (medical transport)

LifeLine is Indiana's first critical care transport system in the state, commencing air medical transport operations in 1979 from Methodist Hospital Indianapolis. Since that time, LifeLine has flown more than 30,000 accident-free patient transports.

LifeLine is a combined program, providing comprehensive services to all age groups. The Adult LifeLine crews consist of a Pilot, Flight Nurse, and Flight Paramedic. The Neonatal/Pediatric Crews are based out of Indianapolis, and Lafayette and consist of a Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and/or Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and focus on critically ill children and newborns. Additionally all medical crew members are required to maintain certifications pertinent to their scope of practice (CFRN, FP-C, CCRN, RRT-NPS).

LifeLine helicopters fly throughout the State of Indiana. Fixed-wing transport utilizing dedicated, medically configured aircraft is available for critically ill patients who are farther away from Indianapolis. LifeLine's fleet consists of one MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 and five Eurocopter EC 145 twin-engine helicopters with an average cruise speed of 150 miles per hour.

LifeLine also operates three Neonatal/Pediatric ground transport units and each outlying base (Lafayette, Terre Haute, Columbus, and Richmond) operates a ground adult critical care transport unit for when the weather is inclement and meteorlogical conditions do not permit air medical transport.

Lifeline (Neal Morse album)

Lifeline is the seventh studio album by Neal Morse. The album features performances from Mike Portnoy (ex- Dream Theater) on drums and Randy George ( Ajalon) on bass, as well as special guest appearances including Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and Paul Gilbert ( Racer X and Mr. Big), who features on a bonus cut. Live drummer Collin Leijenaar plays on the bonus track "Set the Kingdom".

Neal and his band first performed the title track, Lifeline, live at the Night of the Prog Festival on the Loreley, Germany. It was also played at a concert in Trondheim, Norway, with a local band.

It was later announced that the album would be released on October 1, 2008. Unlike many of his previous releases, Lifeline is not a concept album.

It appears that the Jamiroquai logo typeface has been stretched vertically for this release. The video for the single was made available on the group's YouTube account on 7 January 2011.
