n. 1 (context archaic English) Originally, a list of articles of clothing that had been sent to be laundered. 2 (context idiomatic by extension English) A long and often tedious list of items. 3 (context colloquial English) An unrealistic list of skills, qualifications and experiences, as demanded by employers when hiring staff or, an equally unrealistic list of skill sets as claimed by candidates on their resumés.
