Latina is the most common type northern Indian Shikhara (tower or spire on top of a shrine), comprising a single curvilinear projection formed by superimposing horizontal slabs of stone. The two variant and more elaborate northern Indian towers; the Sekhari and the Bhumija towers are based on the Latina plan.

Latina (genus)

Latina is a genus of South American chalcid wasps in the family Eucharitidae. There are four known species of Latina with three known in Argentina and one from Venezuela. Like all members of the Euchratidae, Latina wasps are ant parasitoids: the wasp larvae burrow into ant hosts to complete development, killing the ant upon emergence. The genus was first named Laurella in 2002, but that name had already been given to a genus of bee flies 30 years prior, and so the name Latina was proposed as a replacement, in honor of Latin America where the species occur.

Latina is the thirteenth studio album by Mexican recording artist Thalía, released on May 6, 2016 by Sony Music Latin. The album consists of 13 tracks, including collaborations with Maluma, Silvestre Dangond, De La Ghetto, OMI, Jacob Forever and Chiky Bom Bom "La Pantera". Latina is Thalia's first studio album since 2014's Amore Mio.

The lead single “ Desde Esa Noche” featuring Maluma was released on January 29 2016, meeting huge success and landing at the #4 spot on the Latin Pop chart, published by Billboard, while it also became a smash hit all over Latin America and Spain. The music video of " Desde Esa Noche" premiered on Thalia's VEVO account in March 18. The second single of the album, 'Vuélveme a Querer' was released on April 29, 2016.
