Lactescence

Lactescence \Lac*tes"cence\, n. [Cf. F. lactescence.]

  1. The state or quality of producing milk, or milklike juice; resemblance to milk; a milky color.

    This lactescence does commonly ensue when . . . fair water is suddenly poured upon the solution.
