What is "kyxy"

KYXY ("KyXy 96.5") is a San Diego, California FM radio station with an adult contemporary music format. Owned by CBS Radio, its studios are in the city's Linda Vista neighborhood and with its transmitter site in La Jolla. Since the 1970s, KYXY had aired a soft adult contemporary format. But in the early 2010s, like many AC stations concerned about attracting younger listeners, KYXY began moving toward a more uptempo format, airing few songs recorded before 2000.

KyXy 96.5 broadcasts in HD Radio. The programming on the HD2 multicast is "The Crossing", which airs the Contemporary Christian Music format.
