KWGN-TV

KWGN-TV, virtual channel 2 ( UHF digital channel 34), is a CW- affiliated television station located in Denver, Colorado, United States. The station is owned by the Tribune Broadcasting subsidiary of the Tribune Media Company, as part of a duopoly with Fox affiliate KDVR (channel 31). The two stations share studio facilities located on East Speer Boulevard in Denver's Speer neighborhood (to the immediate south of the studios of KMGH-TV (channel 7)); KWGN maintains transmitter facilities located atop Lookout Mountain, near Golden. The station's signal is relayed on three low-power translators: K14JZ-D in Peetz, K49EX-D in Anton and K31IQ-D in Sterling.

On cable, the station is available on Comcast Xfinity channel 2, and in high definition on digital channel 656. KWGN is also available to subscribers of satellite provider Dish Network throughout the United States as part of its superstations package (for grandfathered subscribers that purchased the a la carte tier before Dish halted sales of the package to new subscribers in September 2013), and is carried on cable television providers in parts of the western United States. The station is authorized for cable and satellite distribution as a U.S. superstation by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission; however, KWGN is not currently available on any pay television providers in that country.
