Kwan yin

Kwan yin \Kwan yin\, Kwan-yin \Kwan-yin\prop. n. (Buddhism) A female Bodhisattva; often called Goddess of Mercy and considered an aspect of the Bodisattva Avalokitesvara; identified with Japanese Kwannon.

Syn: Kuan Yin.
