It seemed that every bar had a mechanical bull and every adult had a pair of boots. Even New York City had a Country radio station! This renaissance of America’s music continued through the 1980s, with superstars like Alabama, The Judds, George Strait and Reba McEntire leading the way. Then, as the 1990s began, a second wave of unprecedented popularity began. Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn, among many others, brought Country music to a level of success few could have imagined. Pure Country 106.7 focuses on this 20 year period from the very late 1970s through the late 1990s. It’s the music that adult Country radio listeners long for. And we are giving it to them. All day. Every day!
