Konchuuki
is a studio album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It was released on August 11, 2015 by the Brazilian label Essence Music. It was released in a standard edition and a boxset edition. Konchuuki is the third Merzbow album on Essence.
The album has an entomological theme. is the named used by Japanese translations of Jean-Henri Fabre's book Souvenirs entomologiques. Hanamuguri is the Japanese name for Cetonia pilifera, a flower chafer beetle. Yumimonkuchiba is Melapia electaria, a moth. Uzumushi can refer to planarians specifically, or turbellaria in general. Douganebuibui is Anomala cuprea, a beetle. Yamadakareha is Kunugia yamadai, a moth.
