What is "konaseema"

Konaseema is an area in Godavari delta of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is surrounded by the Godavari river on two sides and Bay of Bengal on the third. The region marks its existence at Rajahmundry and the two branches of Godavari are termed as Gautami Godavari and Vasishta Godavari.
