What is "kilaneh"

Kilaneh (, also Romanized as Kīlāneh and Keylāneh; also known as Kīfaneh, and Gīlāneh) is a village in Abidar Rural District, in the Central District of Sanandaj County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,008, in 263 families.

This large village is one of the places the residents of Sanandaj go to on picnics because of its very beautiful nature, especially during Spring. During the Iran-Iraq War this village was bombarded several times by the Iraqi Air Force, resulting in many dead and wounded among the residents.
