Kibibit
The kibibit is a multiple of the bit, a unit of digital information storage, prefixed by the standards-based multiplier kibi (symbol Ki), a binary prefix meaning 2. The unit symbol of the kibibit is Kibit.
1 kibibit = 2 bits = 1,024 bitsThe kibibit has existed since 1998 and is closely related to the kilobit, which is equal to 10 bits = 1,000 bits. However, a kilobyte is 1,024 bytes.
