KHLR

KHLR (106.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to Benton, Arkansas, USA, it serves the Little Rock area. The station is currently owned by Signal Media of Arkansas, Inc. The station's studios are located just west of downtown along the south shore of the Arkansas River (David D. Terry Lake), and the transmitter tower is located on Shinall Mountain, near the Chenal Valley neighborhood of Little Rock.

Prior to March 31, 2008, 106.7 was known as KHKN, "The Wolf", and had a classic country format. On that date, "The Wolf" moved to 105.1 FM (currently KMJX) and KHKN was retitled "TOM-FM". According to Phil Hunt, regional programming vice-president of Clear Channel Communications, "We're going to call the station Tom FM after Tom Wood and his famous Brown Bagger show."

On August 17, 2009, KHKN swapped formats and call letters with KHLR 94.9 FM, and switched to urban gospel, branded as "Hallelujah FM".

On April 12, 2011, Clear Channel Communications sold the station to Signal Media for two million dollars. Upon completion of the sale, Signal is expected to flip KHLR to a new format come July 2011, with indications that it will flip to a Rhythmic contemporary format.

On July 19, 2011, at 6 PM, KHLR changed their format to rhythmic oldies, branded as "Heartbeat 106.7". The first song on "Heartbeat" was " Good Times" by Chic. Although its slogan was billed as "R&B+Old School," most of its music also featured artists from the early days of the Disco/Dance and Rhythmic Pop genres. Since the flip, KHLR had shifted its focus to a Rhythmic AC direction as it incorporated currents into the mix while retaining a gold-based presentation.

On August 12, 2015, at 5 PM, after playing " Last Dance" by Donna Summer, KHLR flipped to country, branded as "106.7 The Ride", and launched with a "commercial free 10,000 song free ride", beginning with " Kick the Dust Up" by Luke Bryan. The new Country format gives competition to former owner iHeartMedia’s combo of KSSN and KMJX. KHLR’s former format placed tenth in the Little Rock market with a 3.4 share in the Spring 2015 Nielsen Audio ratings.
