Khatauli

Khatauli (Hindi: खतौली) is a small town in Muzaffarnagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. A part of National Capital Region, the town is situated 100 km away from the national capital New Delhi.It is located on NH 58 between Muzaffarnagar (24 km) and Meerut (36 km).

Khatauli lies on the National Highway 58 which is an important route for trade and commerce and also a main route for the many Hindu pilgrim places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Kedarnath, Badrinath and many hill stations like Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Chopta. Khatauli was declared as a Tehsil in 2007. The town lies on Delhi - Saharanpur (via Meerut) railway route.

Khatauli (Assembly constituency)

Khatauli Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Muzaffarnagar district and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Muzaffarnagar (Lok Sabha constituency). First election in this assembly constituency was held in 1967 after the "Delimitation Order" (Delimitation Commission - 1967) was passed in 1967. In 2008, after the "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008" was passed, this constituency was assigned identification number 15.
