What is "kharkush"

Kharkush ( Khar and Kush) is a mountain of the Hindu Kush mountain range in Baghlan province in Afghanistan.

Kharkush also Khaṟkus (; Mountain which attracts the sun) is a mountain of the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan. It is located in Ghazni Province.

Kharkusch is one of several mountains name in the Indo-Iranian cultural area or Greater Khorasan (old name) with the same name, especially in Persian-speaking countries such as Iran and Afghanistan.

Khorasan is written Kharasan, read and pronounced by locals Khorasan. Khar ( is an abbreviation for Khor ( or Khorsheed ( for sun). The sun was according to the Iranian mythology, the son of Mithra.
