Kerite
Kerite \Ke"rite\, n. [Gr. ke`ras, horn.]
A compound in which tar or asphaltum combined with animal or
vegetable oils is vulcanized by sulphur, the product closely
resembling rubber; -- used principally as an insulating
material in telegraphy.
