Katchatheevu
Katchatheevu, also Kachchatheevu or Kachchativu is a uninhabited island administered by Sri Lanka and is a disputed territory claimed by India.
The island originated from a volcanic eruption that occurred in the 14th century, the island was originally owned by the Ramanad Kingdom of Ramanathapuram district (Tami Nadu) before Indian independence. In 1974 India recognized Sri Lankan ownership of the island on a conditional agreement.
