What is "kaos"

KAoS is a policy and domain services framework created by the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition. It uses W3C’s Web Ontology Language (OWL) standard for policy representation and reasoning, and a software guard technology for efficient enforcement of a compiled version of its policies. It has been used in a variety of government-sponsored projects for distributed host and network management and for the coordination of human-agent-robot teams, including DARPA's CoABS Grid, Cougaar, and Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) models.

KAOS (89.3 FM) is a hybrid college- community radio station licensed to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. It broadcasts in HD Radio at a power of 1,250 watts and also streams live via the Internet. The station continues to offer free radio broadcasting training to students of The Evergreen State College.

It allows for requirements to be calculated from goal diagrams. KAOS stands for Knowledge Acquisition in automated specification or Keep All Objectives Satisfied.

Kaos (originally Chaos in the US) is a 1984 Italian drama film directed by Paolo and Vittorio Taviani based on short stories by Luigi Pirandello (1867–1936). The film's title is after Pirandello's explanation of the local name Càvusu of the woods near his birthplace in the neighborhood of Girgenti (Agrigento), on the southern coast of Sicily, as deriving from the ancient Greek word kaos.
