Kalinovik
Kalinovik is a town and municipality in the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kalinovik is located about 40 kilometres south of Sarajevo, in the middle of one of the karstic landscapes characteristic of the region. Water erosion has left the calcareous plateaus strewn with dolines and poljes ( sinkholes and flat-floored depressions).
The municipality has a population of only 2,500, down from 4,657 in 1991. The municipality adjoins the municipality of Konjic, with which the boundary also forms part of the Inter-Entity Boundary Line (IEBL) between the two constituent entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
