K Street is a 2003 HBO television series about lobbyists and politicians in Washington, D.C. It was named for a street that is home to many lobbying and legal firms.

K Street is a major thoroughfare in the United States capital of Washington, D.C. known as a center for numerous think tanks, lobbyists, and advocacy groups. In political discourse, "K Street" has become a metonym for Washington's lobbying industry since many lobbying firms were traditionally located on the section in Northwest Washington which passes from Georgetown through a portion of downtown D.C. Since the late 1980s, however, many of the largest lobbying firms have moved out; , only one of the top-20 lobbying firms has a K Street address.

K Street (Sacramento)

K Street in Downtown Sacramento, California was once the city's main shopping, dining and entertainment street. K Street was closed to all automobile traffic between 1969 and November 12, 2011, between 13th Street and Westfield Downtown Plaza. In November, 2012, the K Street Mall was rebranded "The Kay", and now functions as a shopping area.

Department and other large stores that once lined K Street included: Breuner's, Weinstock's, Hale's, S. H. Kress & Co., Roos/Atkins, Montgomery Ward and Sears. Cinemas included the Crest, the Senator, the Hippodrome and nearby, the Alhambra.

The path of the street roughly (but not exactly) follows the line from Old Sacramento to Sutter's Fort, which existed as a trail before Sacramento was founded.
