JFMIP

JFMIP stands for Joint Financial Management Improvement Program which was a program authorized by the Budget and Accounting Procedures Act of 1950 (31 USC 65). JFMIP was to be a joint and cooperative action would be undertaken by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the General Accounting Office, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Office of Personnel Management. Working in cooperation with each other and other agencies, the goal of the JFMIP is to improve financial management practices in the federal government.

The four Principals of the JFMIP that play leadership role are: Comptroller General of the United States, Secretary of the Treasury, and the Directors of the Office of Management and Budget, and the Office of Personnel Management.
