Jativa (moth)

Jativa is a genus of moths of the Crambidae family. It contains only one species, Jativa castanealis, which is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

The wingspan is about 16 mm. The forewings are orangish-brown with a white median band and a white Y-shape at the costa. There is also a white band near the base. The hindwings are slightly paler, with a wavy greyish median line. Adults have been recorded on wing from April to May and from July to October.
