It Doesn't Matter is the debut album by the band The Underdog Project, released in Germany on November 20, 2000 (see 2000 in music) on Radikal Records. The album combines a variety of music styles like R&B, 2-step beats and reggae, there are also ballads and a cappella tracks included. The album received a lot of attention in Germany, it was later released in the United States on July 24, 2001. It Doesn't Matter released a total of three singles: " Summer Jam", " Tonight" and " I Can't Handle It"
"It Doesn't Matter" is the first single released from Wyclef Jean's second studio album, The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II a Book.
The track features additional vocals by Melky Sedeck and wrestler The Rock, whose famous catchphrase inspired the song title. The track also included a sample of "This Is Ska" by Bad Manners and "Mona Lisa" by Slick Rick.
Upon its release in August 2000, it entered the UK Singles Chart at #3, its highest chart position, and went on to spend eight weeks on the charts.
In the second verse, the line "Leave that crack alone" parodies Pink Floyd's 1979 song " Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)", which contained the line "Hey, teacher! Leave those kids alone."
The song was also released in French, under the title "Ça ne me fait rien" for Quebec and French radio stations, with Jacky and Ben-J providing additional vocals. Some lines were changed for that version. e.g. "I got 50 Bentleys in the West Indies" was replaced by "J'ai 50 Bentley aux États-Unis", to fit the rhyming scheme.
"It Doesn't Matter" is the fourth single to be released from September's second album, In Orbit. This single was not released in her homeland of Sweden, but was a minor hit in Romania and Russia. The song gained popularity in Poland during her tour there in 2006, and during her summer concert tour in 2007 getting her ready to perform at Sopot Festival 2007.
