Ipoh ( Tamil: ஈப்போ) is the capital city of the state of Perak, Malaysia and also one of the largest cities in the country. It is approximately north of Kuala Lumpur and south of Penang on the North-South Expressway.
It is bordered by Batu Gajah in the west, Cameron Highlands in the east and Simpang Pulai in the south.
Ipoh was a federal constituency in Perak, Malaysia, that was represented in the Dewan Rakyat from 1959 to 1995.
