What is "intepe"

Intepe is a sub-district of the central ( Çanakkale) district of Çanakkale Province, Turkey. It is located in the Dardanelles area, north of the city of Çanakkale.

The town of Erenköy, located in the sub-district, was once itself renamed Intepe between 1947 and 2010, but a changed its name back to Erenköy after a referendum.
